KAZAN’s founder and artistic director Kathryn MacLellan has been an active member of the local and national theatre community for over 35 years, and is the recipient of the 2015 Halifax Mayor’s Award for Achievement in Theatre. Her partner is her sister Janet MacLellan, an award-winning costume and set designer. The co-op additionally includes an eight person board of directors drawn from the artistic and business communities.

KAZAN’s performance space, The Waiting Room, is an intimate venue redesigned within an industrial building at 6040 Almon Street in Halifax.

KAZAN is very grateful to BMO Financial GroupArts Nova Scotia, and our individual show sponsors for their support.
